Lorimitir operates the Lorimitir mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Account details, such as your email address and password
- Profile information, such as your username, display name, photo, and bio
- Content you create or share, including posts, photos, videos, comments, venue tags, and parking reports (price, availability, and location of a spot)
- Communications you send us, such as support requests
Information Collected Automatically
- Approximate or precise location, if you grant permission, used to show you nearby activity and let you tag venues. You can turn this off at any time in your device settings.
- Background location, if you separately grant "Always" permission, used only for the parking assistant (Parking Mode) — to notify you when you're getting close to a destination so you can park, even if the App isn't open. You can turn this off at any time in your device settings.
- Usage and activity information, such as who you follow, posts you like, and content you view
- Device and technical information needed to operate and secure the App
Information From Other Sources
If you choose to link a third-party account (such as TikTok) to your profile, we receive the information you authorize that service to share with us.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create, maintain, and secure your account
- To operate core App features, including feeds, venue discovery, parking assistance, and social interactions
- To personalize your experience based on your location and activity
- To communicate with you, including account and security notices
- To maintain the safety, integrity, and reliability of the App
- To improve and develop new features
We do not sell your personal information.
3. How We Share Your Information
- With other users — your profile and public content (posts, comments, venue tags) are visible to other users of the App
- With service providers — companies that help us host, store, and operate the App on our behalf, under confidentiality obligations
- For legal reasons — where required to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect the rights and safety of our users
4. Your Privacy Choices
- Liked posts visibility — make your liked posts private in Settings
- Hide tagged spots — hide your tagged venues from your profile
- Location permissions — revoke location access at any time in your device Settings
- Account deletion — delete your account and associated data using the Delete Account option in Settings, or by contacting us below
5. Data Retention & Security
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App. We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit and secure credential storage. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
